ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)–Because of an unusually wet winter, this could shape up to be a very bad year for allergies.

There is already an increase in the number of patients going to the doctor seeking relief and the allergy season is only in its infancy.

Local pharmacies are also reporting an increase in over the counter allergy medicines. Experts say the number one spring pollen in St. Louis is oak.
