Valvoline offering pink wiper blades to fight breast cancer

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – You can support the fight against breast cancer and keep your car windshield clean at the same time.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change centers in areas including St. Louis are selling pink sets of windshield wiper blades for $40.  A portion of the proceeds go the National Breast Cancer Foundation. On Monday Valvoline promoted the event at centers including one in Chesterfield. The store manager says it’s all about raising breast cancer awareness.

“By putting on a set of pink wiper blades on your car, it just kind of opens up a lot of questions why and for then people to start talking to their family members, friends about it.” said store manager BJ Franz

Valvoline centers in 13 states are selling the blades. You can buy them at any Valvoline center in the St. Louis metropolitan area through October. This is the second year Valvoline has done the even T. Last year, they sold more than 10,000 pink wiper blades.
