EAST ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – On the afternoon of June 27th, a group gathered in the middle of the street at Lincoln Park in East St. Louis to watch and record what appears to be an argument and fight between two women.

Then minutes later suddenly a gray car came barreling down the street mowing down 4 people. Four young women went flying into the air.

The twenty-something year-old female driver and a passenger quickly backed up and fled from the scene.  Amazingly all of the victims walked away with minor injuries. East St. Louis Police Chief Michael Floore says detectives are diligently working the case. Police also have added more patrols near the park.

“The suspect was in a vehicle and ran over 4 girls then allegedly hit a car later on. We do have the car the driver committed the crime in we currently have a person of interest we are looking for. We have also interviewed all of the victims and witnesses out there.” Floore said

The driver is still at large and at this point it`s unknown why the woman was involved in the fight. When caught she can face felony charges of aggravated assault, leaving the scene of an accident and a hit and run.  U.S. Marshals are also involved in the search. Police say if the woman is not caught by Friday her name and photo will be released to the public. A reward for information leading to an arrest is also available.

‘By all means turn yourself in to the local police department.’ Floore said.
