BADAJOZ, Spain – Surveillance cameras outside a Spanish bar captured the dramatic moment large blocks of moulding came crashing down on a group of people sitting on the sidewalk outside.

The scary incident happened around 9:30 pm on July 15; the video was recently uploaded to YouTube.

The footage shows four young men and two women talking over drinks outside the pub, located on Calle Republica Argentina in the Spanish city of Badajoz when suddenly large chunks of a cornice rain down, pummeling the unsuspecting patrons.

Three people were hurt, one of whom was hospitalized and received stitches, according to Hoy News.

Despite the injuries sustained, it might have been worse – the video shows a woman walking with a child in the path of the falling blocks, seconds before the collapse. One of the young woman seated at the table can be seen leaning forward in her chair, narrowly escaping the rubble.
