Vigil held to remember cyclist struck, killed

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- A candlelight vigil will be held on Friday, June 12th for a cyclist who was struck and killed on Wednesday night. Authorities say 21-year-old Timothy Canada was riding his bike on Page at Euclid when he was struck by a driver. After being hit by the side mirror of the car, Canada was thrown into the westbound lanes.

He died of his injuries ten hours later.

Authorities say he was not wearing a helmet.

The vigil is set to begin at 8p.m. near the scene of the crash.
