Visitation for Kentucky trooper killed by Missouri man set for Thursday

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY – Visitation for the Kentucky Trooper shot and killed by a Florissant man will be held this Thursday. Joseph Ponder’s, 31, funeral will be held on Friday.

Ponder was a combat veteran with over 5 years of military service in the Navy. He is survived by a fiancée, mother, father, sister and two brothers.

Funeral services for Trooper, Ponder will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 18, 2015 at the Severns Valley Baptist Church, 1100 Ring Road, Elizabethtown, KY 42701. Burial with military honors will be at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY following service.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at the Stithton Baptist Church, 95 Park Ave., Radcliff, KY 40160. There will be no visitation prior to the service on Friday.
