ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Missouri’s Attorney General is suing Walgreens over it’s advertising and pricing. Chris Koster’s lawsuit claims Walgreens has a pattern of advertising one price on the shelf but then charging more at the cash register. Undercover investigators made 205 purchases at Walgreens locations around the state and were overcharged on 43 items.
“This level of consumer deception is inexcusable from a corporation as sophisticated as Walgreens. In fact, it`s appalling.” said Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster.
FOX 2 reached out to Walgreens for a comment on the lawsuit but have not heard back.
