ST. LOUIS – Our partners at the Post Dispatch report, Washington University School of Medicine received a $14.6 million dollar federal grant to study racial differences in Alzheimer’s disease.
Studies show black Americans are twice as likely to get Alzheimer’s than whites and scientists are unsure why. Part of the reason is attributed to African Americans having been historically underrepresented in research.
