Washington University receives $1.9M in federal grants to vaccinate African-Americans

ST. LOUIS – Washington University will use $1.9 million in federal grants to try to boost vaccination rates among the African-American population in St. Louis City and St. Louis County.

The Post-Dispatch reported that after getting vaccinated Black residents will receive a “golden ticket” to hand out to their unvaccinated friends and family.

The ticket entitles the holder to personal concierge assistance in scheduling a dose for themselves.
