‘Testing and economic recovery go hand in hand’ Missouri governor encourages mass COVID-19 testing

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – Missouri Governor Mike Parson Held his daily briefing this afternoon. This is what he said about the importance of testing as the state moves forward with its reopening plan.

“I talked about the importance of COVID-19 testing. The goal of testing 7,500 people per day is an important move forward. Testing and economic recovery go hand in hand. We can’t have one without the other. A rapid increase in testing will help people re-engage in the economy.

The state is reporting 11,232 positive patients. There are also 631 Missourians who have died to COVID-19.
