Dave Murray’s latest stl forecast and weather disco…For Thursday…January 23, 2014
*** Nothing changes…winter digs in once again…all about the northwest flow and the series of arctic cold front..see-saw temps…but cold is king…limited moisture to work with as each front passes…each with a few snow flurries**.
Thursday:
Partly sunny, windy(especially in the morning) and bitter cold
Winds: Northwest 15-30 m.p.h.
High: 13 degrees…wind chills well below zero
Thursday night:
Clear skies, lighter winds and bitter cold
Winds: Northwest 5-10 m.p.h.
Low: 2 degrees.
Friday:
Partly sunny…increasing winds and still cold
Winds: Southeast 15-20 m.p.h.
High: 32 degrees
Warmer over the weekend but the winds will stay up..making it feel rather cold to be out and about…more deep cold rockets in Sunday night and Monday…maybe some snow getting into the middle of next week
THE WEATHER DISCO:
All about the clipper track…the northwest flow…sending down a series of cold fronts…ahead of each front…temperatures jump up slightly…then with the front…a wind shift to the northwest and a re-charge of the arctic cold…some flurries along each front…but the gulf of mexico is shut down…so just nothing much when it comes to moisture. No big snows in sight…but getting more interested mid to late next week…thats a long way off.
