Dave Murray’s Latest STL forecast and weather disco…Wednesday March 5, 2014:

***Another cold start to another rather quiet day…a few more clouds around but there will still be melting late morning and during the afternoon….Temps still below average…but better***

WEDNESDAY:

Partly to mostly cloudy and chilly
WINDS: Southeast 5-15 M.P.H.
HIGH: 38 degrees

WEDNESDAY NIGHT:

Lots of clouds..a few sprinkles
WINDS: Northeast 5-10 M.P.H.
LOW: 22 DEGREES.

THURSDAY:

Partly sunny and chilly
WINDS: North 10-15 M.P.H.
HIGH: 41 degrees

Warmest afternoon of the week should be on Friday…near average temps for a change

THE WEATHER DISCO:

Dealing with a progressive flow in the atmsophere…more like a zonal flow…running west to east…this is a flow that means no big cold able to roll in from the arctic and no big storms…nothing feeding on the Gulf of Mexico. However…there will be little impulses working through the west to east flow…one rolls by late on Wednesday..resulting in more and more clouds…maybe a few sprinkles late day and night…not much of anything. Then another impulse comes into play on Saturday…clouds and a few rain showers…maybe a few wet snowflakes. Overall a quiet pattern with melting temps during the day and in the 20’s at night…the warmest looking like Friday afternoon for a few hours.

Remember…this weekend is the time change weekend…we Spring ahead before going to bed Saturday night.
