St. Louis Weather:
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Snow is tapering off across the metro but continues across our southern counties that have finally seen the transition from a rain/snow mix to all snow.
Due to the later transition from rain to snow along and south of the I-70 corridor, accumulations were on the lower end of the forecast with the metro area seeing 1″ to 2″ and higher amounts to the north and northwest.
Roads could still be slushy and slick in those areas south of St. Louis still seeing snow but will continue to improve where the snow is coming to an end.
Snow continues to taper off from north to south as low pressure dives southeast through the early afternoon hours. Temperatures Saturday afternoon linger right around freezing. Skies clear out overnight and colder air moves in. Lows in the teens and low 20s. For Sunday, mostly sunny with a high right around freezing.
An earlier version of the story reported an incorrect number of people trapped. This story has since been updated to reflect the correction information.
