ST. LOUIS – A “dipping sauce dispute” led to the shooting of a fast-food worker Tuesday at about 1:00 a.m. It happened at the Wendy’s on Natural Bridge Avenue at Union Boulevard.

When officers arrived to the restaurant, they found the 31-year-old male worker suffering gunshot wounds to his torso and arm.

The worker said he got into an argument with the suspect while in the drive-thru window.

The suspect then pulled to the front of the business where the worker attempted to confront him.

The worker said as he turned around to re-enter the store, the suspect fired shots at him before driving away in a dark-colored Nissan.

Other workers at the resturaunt told FOX 2 the male suspect asked for extra dipping sauce with his order and when he didn’t get what he wanted, he shot into the store.

The worker is in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
