ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- The widow of a murdered 7 Eleven clerk from Bhutan will get free English lessons from a FOX 2 viewer.

Lois Washington saw Susila Rai's story on Fox 2 and wanted to help.

"It caught my attention and I thought that the way I could help is through English lessons," Washington said.

Washington has taught English to people from several countries for more than a decade.

Susila's husband, Mon Rai, was murdered at a 7 Eleven on Gravois June 10.

His daughter, Rachel, was born one week later.

"It is just a tough situation for them,' Washington said. "I wanted to help."

Washington plans on meeting with Susila at her home several times a week.

"I can come as much as she needs me to," Washington said.

With the help of a translator, Susila said that she was "very thankful for the free lessons."

The murder suspect is still on the streets. He is described as a 5'6" to 5'9" male with a medium build. He was wearing a black and grey jacket. If you have any information call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.
