ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – An armed holdup that looks like something you’d see on television or at the movies. Security video from a mobile phone store shows a man point a gun at an employee’s head.

St. Louis police said the robbery took place January 6 at the Metro PCS on Natural Bridge Road.

A man wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt bursts through the front door, points a gun at a female customer, then comes straight at the store manager.

Xichen Liu, who came to the United States from China five years ago, said he never imagined he’d come face-to-face with an armed robber. The man took approximately $780 from his register while a second suspect acted as a lookout.

Liu said police told him this robbery may be connected to a similar incident at another Metro PCS in the city.

Although no one was hurt, Liu said his co-worker who was with him during the robbery was so distraught that she quit.
