NAPERVILLE, IL (WLS) – A 40-year-old woman is jailed without bond in Illinois in the stabbing deaths of two children. The kids were found on Wednesday in a home in Naperville. The 7-year-old boy is identified as the suspect’s son. Police say the woman was baby-sitting the other victim, a 5-year-old girl. DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin says the suspect changed her story about what happened several times.

“Police took Elzbieta Plackowska  to the hospital. She had superficial scratches. She then made numerous statements to the police. She ultimately admitted that she had lied to the police in her earlier statements. She stated that she was angry with her husband because he was gone most days as an over-the-road trucker. She thought by killing Justin, she’d make her husband hurt the way she hurt in the relationship.” said DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin.

The suspect also allegedly killed the two family dogs. She’s not an American citizen, but moved to the U.S. from Poland 12-years ago. Plackowska is due in court on November 21.
