EAST ST. LOUIS – Officers from the East St. Louis Police Department rescued a woman whose car got stuck in high water Friday morning.
According to authorities, around 12:30 a.m. she unknowingly drove her car into a flooded area on Nectar Avenue near North 14th Street.
She managed to climb into the back seat and police were able to get her out safely.
