HAZELWOOD, MO (KTVI)- Authorities are investigating after a woman was struck and killed while crossing the street Wednesday morning in North St. Louis County. The accident happened shortly before 6a.m. near the intersection of Missouri Bottom Road and Campus Parkway. Police say the woman was attempting to cross the street before she was struck by a vehicle traveling west bound on Missouri Bottom Road. She was then struck by a second vehicle traveling east bound on Missouri Bottom Road as well.
Authorities say both drivers stopped at the scene.
The woman was transported to DePaul Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. Her name has not been released.
The Hazelwood Police Department Traffic Management Team is still investigating.
