MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. (KTVI) – In the late-night hours on March 11, two St. Louis County police officers were shot outside of the Ferguson Police Department headquarters. One officer was shot just below his eye while the other officer sustained a gunshot wound to his shoulder. Both have been treated and released from Barnes Jewish Hospital.

A video released on YouTube shows a blurry scene of the events shortly before and during the shooting. The video shows a quiet scene as protestors stood outside the Ferguson Police Department near midnight on March 11. Then, two car horns sound off, followed by multiple gun shots.

Then, a man yelling out in pain is heard, which is believed to be one of the officers caught in the line of fire.

Another man is heard shouting out, “Acknowledgement nine months ago would have kept that from happening.” Protestors are then heard saying “the hill”, pointing out where they believed the shots came from.

The woman recording the video was standing across the street from the police department. “It came from behind us,” she said.
