The Billikens faced perennial power Kansas on Tuesday night in Kansas City, Missouri. Foul trouble and the Jayhawks defense led to a lop-sided 73-59 loss for SLU. Travis Releford scored 21 first half points for the Jayhawks as they built a 14 point halftime lead. SLU was in foul trouble throughout the game. The also had trouble getting their shot past KU’s big man Jeff Withey who swatted away 6 shots. Cody Ellis led SLU with 19 points. The Billikens fall to 2-2 and will next play back at home on Saturday against Southern Illinois-Carbondale.
