Blues Even Series with Sharks, Lose Jaroslav Halak

The NHL’s best goalie tandem joined forces to shutout San Jose 3-0 on Saturday night, as the Blues tied their first round series with the Sharks. Brian Elliott made the final 17 saves after Jaroslav  Halak left with an undisclosed lower-body injury early in the second period. Vladamir Sobotka was credited with a goal on the first shot of the game after Marc-Edouard Vlasic tapped the puck into his own net. David Backes and Andy McDonald also scored, and T.J Oshie had two assists in the Blues first playoff win since April 12, 2004 against the Sharks. Game 3 is set for Monday in San Jose.
