Five players scored in double figures to help Saint Louis to a 78-69 win over Duquesne on Wednesday night at Chaifetz Arena. Ash Yacoubou led the way with 18 points. Mike Crawford added 14 points, Marcus Bartley had 13, Milik Yarbrough scored 11 points, while Davell Roby had 10 points.
Bartley was the real energizer scoring four three pointers in the first half to give the Billikens a 42-29 half time lead. Then Yacoubou took over in the second half, finishing with 18 points and ten rebounds.
The win ends a four game Saint Louis losing streak and is their first Atlantic 10 Conference win of the season. The victory came on the school’s 100th anniversary of their first ever basketball game in 1915.
