The Billikens women’s basketball team is advancing in the WNIT with a 70-69 win over Arkansas-Little Rock on Thursday night at Chaifetz Arena.
Jackie Kemph scored 20 points and dished out seven assists to lead the Billikens to their first ever post season win in women’s basketball. The Billikens (25-7) advance to the second round of the WNIT and will host Ball State (22-9), a 77-72 winner at Iowa. The game will be Monday, March 20th at 7 pm at Chaifetz Arena. The two teams have played once this season. Ball State defeated SLU 79-70 earlier this year in Muncie, Indiana. This is just the second every post season appearance for the Billikens women’s team. They also went to the WNIT in 2003.
