Crews Finally Named Permanent Head Coach of the Billikens

Saint Louis University finally did the expected on Friday, naming Jim Crews, the Billikens interim head coach in 2012-13 as the permanent leader of the SLU mens' hoop team. Crews led the Billikens to a 28-7 record, a regular season Atlantic 10 Championship and the A-10 Post Season Tournament Title. The Billikens advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament, before being knocked out by Oregon. Crews became SLU's interim head basketball coach when Rick Majerus,left his post due to heart problems. Majerus passed away before the 2012-13 season started. Crews stepped in and led SLU to a record season.
