ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – On Sunday, Wichita State will face No. 1 seed Creighton in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Championship game. The game is scheduled for 1:05pm at Scottrade Center.
Wichita State defeated Illinois State, 66-51, in the semifinal round Saturday. Carl Hall recorded 16 points and eight rebounds for the Shockers. Malcolm Armstead scored 15 points.
Jackie Carmichael scored a game-high 22 points for the Redbirds. John Wilkins and Tyler Brown added nine points apiece.
In the other semifinal game Saturday, Indiana State’s saw their four-game winning streak end as they fell 64-43 loss to Creighton. Manny Arop led the Sycamores with 13 points and four rebounds. Brandon Burnett scored a career-high eight points with four rebounds.
Creighton hit 16-of-26 shots in the first half and finished the game by hitting 53.5 percent from the field.
