ST. LOUIS – Andy Benes was a Major League pitcher for 14 seasons, including two stints with the St. Louis Cardinals. When he retired, his four kids were all in middle school or older. That’s when his wife Jen suggested they adopt children. She felt God was calling on them as Christians to help out. They now have two adopted children from Russia and one from Ukraine.
