ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Blues announce a new team captain Tuesday.
He’ll be the 24th Blues captain in the franchise’s history. Ryan O’Reilly, the previous captain, left last season at the trade deadline and has since joined the Nashville Predators.
The announcement comes two days before Blues training camp opens in Maryland Heights on Thursday. Brayden Schenn, Robert Thomas and Colton Parayko are all possible candidates.
