ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Hitchcock will be back for at least one more year.  The St. Louis Blues have announced that head coach Ken Hitchcock has agreed to a one-year contract with the team. He is the NHL's fourth winningest coach returning for 5th Season with the Blues.

The 63-year-old coach has taken the Blues to four straight postseason appearances and two Central Division championships.   Hitchcock is the 4th coach in NHL history to reach 700 career regular season wins.

Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong and coach Ken Hitchcock spoke at a press conference Tuesday afternoon about the official announcement.
