The late season free fall continued for the St. Louis Blues on Friday night in Dallas. The Blues were shutout by the Stars 3-0, marking their fifth consecutive loss. The Blues were playing extremely shorthanded as T.J. Oshie, Vladimir Sobotka, Brenden Morrow and Derek Roy all sat out the game with injuries suffered in last night’s loss to the Minnesota Wild. Three rooking were recalled from Chicago to take their places, including Ty Rattie making his NHL debut.

The Stars outshot the Blues in the game 40-22. Dallas goalie Kari Lehtonen stopped all 22 Blues shots he faced, while Blues goalie Ryan Miller allowed three goals on the 40 shots he faced. The Blues are currently tied with the Colorado Avalanche for first place in the Central Division. Both teams have one game remaining in the regular season. The division winner will face either Minnesota or Dallas in the first round of the playoffs, while the loser will have to play the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Chicago Blackhawks.
