Blues Win 7th Straight, Shutout Flames 5-0

The St. Louis Blues won their seventh straight game in convincing fashion, 5-0 at Calgary on Thursday night. Jaroslav Halak returned to the Blues goal for the first time since December 28th and stopped all 33 Flames shots for his third shutout of the year.

Offensively the Blues got goals from Chris Stewart, Vladimir Sobotka, Ian Cole, Alex Pietrangelo and Vladimir Tarasenko. Sobotka and Tarassenko had two point nights with each player scoring a goal and adding an assist.

The win now ties the Blues with the Blackhawks for the top spot in the NHL’s Central division with 67 points. The Blues record is now an impressive 31-7-5. They have also played three fewer games than the Blackhawks. St. Louis finishes their three game Canadian road trip with a game in Vancouver on Friday night.
