Cardinals recall Gonzales, Harris, and Stanley on first day of expanded rosters

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-The St. Louis Cardinals have recalled left-handed pitcher Marco Gonzales from Triple-A Memphis to start against the Washington Nationals Tuesday. Carlos Martinez has been scratched because of a sore back.

The team has also recalled two other players to join the team during September when Major League teams are allowed to expand their rosters, right-handed pitcher Mitch Harris and catcher Cody Stanley. They will be available for Tuesday night’s game.
