The San Francisco Giants did the unthinkable. The came back from a 3-1 series deficit and beat the Cardinals convincingly 9-0 in Game 7 of their National League Championship Series. The Giants built a quick 2-0 lead before blowing the game open with a five run third inning that featured two Cardinals errors. Kyle Lohse lasted just two plus innings as the Cardinals starting pitcher and was rocked for five runs. Meanwhile Giants starter Matt Cain pitched into the 6th inning allowing no runs. Marco Scutaro was named the MVP of the NLCS, thanks to his 14 for 28 hitting performance in the series. The Giants outscored the Cardinals in the final three games of the series 20 to 1.
