The Chicago White Sox won their 9th straight road game with a 6-1 win over the Cardinals. Adam Dunn and A.J Pierzynski hit home runs in a 4- run 8th inning, as the Cardinals have lost 3 of their last 4 games to drop to .500 at 31-31 on the season. Adam Wainwright (5-7) lasted 7 innings, allowed 5 hits, and 2 earned runs in the loss. Rookie left hander Jose Quintana (2-1) allowed one run over 5 and 1/3 innings. 4 Cardinals had 2 hits apiece, but the Redbirds manage just one run despite pounded out 11 hits. Let fielder Matt Holliday returned to the starting lineup after missing two straight games with back spasms.
