It was a battle between the top two teams in the MLS’ Western Conference, #1 St. Louis City SC and #2 LA FC at CityPark on Wednesday night. The teams battled for 90 minutes to a 0-0 draw.
But with Austin playing to a tie and Minnesota losing their games on Wednesday, City SC has clinched a playoff spot in their first year of competition in MLS.
