ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Over the course of a long NFL season, beat writers and sports columnists are always on the lookout for amusing anecdotes or behind-the-scenes pieces on players and coaches to break up the day-to-day monotony of game previews.
ESPN staff writer Nick Wagoner uncovered one delightful nugget of information about Rams defensive end William Hayes in a recent piece – Hayes does not believe dinosaurs existed.
Hayes, who has cultivated a locker room reputation as a practical joker, appears to be on the level with his dino denial.
“…We have never seen a dinosaur before but we know exactly where every single rib [was] and which rib goes where. That’s crazy to me.”
Since joining the Rams ahead of the 2012 season, Hayes has more than 130 solo tackles and 21.5 sacks.
