ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The St. Louis Rams took the field at the Edward Jones Dome in a show of support for the Ferguson protesters. Rams players including Stedman Bailey, Jared Cook, Chris Givens and receivers Tavon Austin and Kenny Britt took to the field with their hands up. The “hands up, don’t shoot” sign has been a hallmark of protesters since the August 9th shooting.

The St. Louis Rams played the Oakland Raiders. The hometown team won the game 52-0. The gesture made another appearance after a touchdown in the first quarter. Coach Fisher and Rams says they were not aware of plan for certain players to do “hands up” gesture.

Ferguson protesters gathered at Kiener Plaza Sunday afternoon to march to  the Edward Jones Dome. They met fans outside as they walked to their cars. Demonstrators then marched through the streets of St. Louis after being asked to disperse by police.
