(KTVI) - The crack of thunder. The flash of lightning. A warning on television.  These are all things that can invoke instant fear in a child.

Meteorologist Glenn Zimmerman hears from many parents that their children are frightened when bad weather rolls in.   He talks about how to help kids remain calm before and during a storm.

If parents want to get more information about weather, the FOX 2 annual Storm Fest on Saturday, May 17th from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Arnold.
