ST. LOUIS — Second-Hen’d hatched in 2016. This non-profit is an all-volunteer organization that works to find forever homes for ex-commercial egg-laying chickens. They are referred to as “spent” hens and most come from caged systems. Second-Hen’d also highlights the therapeutic benefits of keeping chickens as pets! Now that’s nothing to cluck at!
