Police are investigating a shooting in the 3500 block of Lafayette Avenue. A man was shot outside. His condition has not yet been shared by police.
This portion of Lafayette Avenue runs parallel to I-44 across from Compton Hill Reservoir Park. The shooting appears to have happened outside the Salus Center. Police have a portion of Lafayette Avenue blocked off with crime scene tape near the intersection with Grand Avenue.
Saint Louis University students and parents were alerted to the shooting, presumably because it is near campus.
