THE WEATHER DISCO:

The northwest flow is alive and well and it means biz… strong and stuck for the next several days…well into next week. its a two part system for the weekend…Saturday…all about an arctic cold front arriving in the morning…a big time wind shift to the northwest…warmest part of the day will be first thing in the morning…then going down hill… the front will bring some wind driven snow squalls and snow burst…but rather limited moisture to work with… maybe a dusting in spots…but if you get caught in a squall… it will be amazing…with poor visibility. The two key points Saturday…strong gusty winds that could push 40 m.p.h. and dropping temps and in turn tough wind chills… windy Saturday night as we head to 5 for the overnight lows… severe wind chills in the evening…extra care for yourself and pets. On to Sunday…a clipper system kicks in quickly… kicking up periods of snow…a dry snow… late morning and all afternoon ending in the evening…tappering to flurries…bitter cold…thinking about 2 inches around metro STL… maybe a little more as you head south and a little less going north. Bitter cold in play Sunday night, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday…pure winter-time.
