Dave Murray’s Latest STL forecast and weather disco…THE WEEKEND…December 13-14, 2014:

THE WEATHER DISCO:

The bubble of high pressure…the dirty high remains in control…this weekend but is starting to get a little push from our western storm system…a slow motion process because the northeast storm is only drifting out of the picture…on the large scale…a great example of how the weather systems work…and we have to think globally to try to carve out a forecast. A little warmer…day and night over the weekend…in the 50’s each afternoon..Sunday afternoon will be the warmest of the two days. Now we look to the big west coast crasher…one of the strongest storms in years for the west coast…this will lose some power coming over the rockies…but still a pretty impressive system…more of a cutter…tracking to our west and north…that allows the warmer air to hang tough for the bulk of the system…resulting in rain…Sunday night, Monday and shutting down Monday night…Monday…being is a warm wedge with a cold front rolling in…colder behind…we have to watch the skies for some thunderstorms…can’t rule some storms out…maybe even a few pockets of strong to severe storms…lets keep an eye on this system for Monday.
